We are finishing up the week with Nagasawa Kobe 21 Taisanji Yellow. Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review. (Right now Kobe inks are 25% off at Pen Chalet).
Taisanji Yellow is a dark, mustard yellow.
Ink large swabs the ink looks much darker than it does in writing.
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 15 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Show through: Medium
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was a little bit of feathering, and just a tiny bit of bleeding.
Taisanji Yellow is a little bit lighter than African Gold, but darker than El Dorado. Click here to see the Kobe inks together.
Overall, I really like this one. It’s an interesting color, has a good flow, and even dries pretty quickly.
