Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry Time: 30-40 seconds

Water Resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: Low

Other properties: All have low shading. Spirula Green and Flying Squid have low red sheen. Blue-Ringed Octopus Blue has a pop of pink sheen in large swabs only.

On Walmart Pen + Gear copy paper there was some feathering in every nib size and some bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

Spirula Green is a little darker than Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-ryoku.

Bobtail Squid Green is a little darker than Inkebara Grass Green.

Flying Squid Blue is a touch more green than Wearingeul Phantom of the Opera.

Blue-Ringed Octopus Blue is a little bit darker in swabs than Pelikan 4001 Turquoise.

Longer Writing:

I used a Taroko Enigma notebook. All four had average flows.

Overall, I enjoyed these inks. They’re well behaved and pretty colors!
