In large swabs on Tomoe River paper the ink looks darker with some shading.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 20 seconds

Water resistance: High

Feathering: None

Show through: Low

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.

On Walmart 20lb copy paper there was quite a bit of feathering and bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

Grey Jeans is more grey than Ferris Wheel Press Blue Cotton Candy. Click here to see the Taccia inks together and click here to see the blue inks together.

Longer writing:

I used a Franklin Christoph 45L Italian ice with a medium nib on a Taroko Breeze notebook. The ink had a dry flow.

Overall, this ink is too pale and dry for me. I love the color in the Col-o-ring swab but in longer writing I wish it was a little bit darker and wetter. It’s just not for me.
