Sailor Jentle Sky High

Sailor Jentle Sky High is one of the six original Sailor Jentle inks that were re-released in 2017. I bought my bottle from Anderson Pens.

The bottle is 50ml of ink. I still don't really like the bottle, I've discussed why in my other Sailor Jentle reviews. Unfortunately, the box got a bit damaged in transit, and the ink leaked in the box.

The color:

Sky High is a beautiful sky blue, with a pink sheen that shows on certain papers.

Paper: Rhodia

Feathering: None

Bleeding: 2 small spots on the swab

Show though: Medium

Shading: Medium

Sheen: Low (only on the flex nib and the swab)

Paper: Tomoe River

Feathering: None

Bleeding: None

Show though: Medium

Shading: Medium

Sheen: High

Paper: Leuchtturm 1917

Feathering: None

Bleeding: None

Show though: Medium

Shading: Medium

Sheen: Low (only on the swab)

Paper: Baron Fig Confidant

Feathering: None

Bleeding: None

Show though: Medium

Shading: Medium

Sheen: Low

This is the first ink that has shown sheen on the Confidant. Frankly, it's my favorite ink on the Confidant paper so far.

Similar inks...

The closest ink is Sailor Jentle Souten, and then Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki. Seasonally, I would use this ink during winter.

On the left is Sailor Jentle Sky High, and on the right is Sailor Jentle Souten. They are very similar, with Sky High being just a little bit deeper in color.

I used Tomoe River paper with a Sailor Pro Gear Slim pink demonstrator, fine nib. The quote is from Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

Overall, I'm in love with this ink. The sheen looks amazing on Tomoe River paper, and it even works well on Baron Fig Confidant paper.
