Left to right: 443, 543, 743, 843 and 943.
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
The inks took 30 seconds to dry.
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: Low-there was just a little bit of feathering in the flex nib on Rhodia and Leuchtturm.
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: Low-there was some bleeding in the flex nib.
Other properties: 743, 843 and 943 had medium sheen. All five had medium shading.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was lots of feathering in the larger nib sizes as well as a bit of bleeding.
443 is similar to Monteverde Confidence Blue. 743 is similar to Taccia Ao Blue. 843 is close to Monteverde Sapphire. 943 is similar to Sailor Jentle Blue. Click here to see the Sailor inks together.
Life Bank paper brings out the undertones. 543 has a bit of a green undertone.
I used a Bond Travel Gear A5 notebook. The inks all had a wetter flow.
Overall, love all 5 of these, but I particularly like the color of 543 and 743.
