Last year Pebble Stationery Co. launched their first kickstarter for the pocket Tomoe River notebooks, which I really enjoyed. They are now running their second kickstarter for A5 Cashier Tomoe River notebooks.
They sent me one of the notebooks to try out a few weeks ago, and so far I really like it. These A5 notebooks are sold for AUS $17 during the kickstarter, and then AUS $19.50 after the campaign is over. The notebooks measure 5.8” x 8.4” and include 120 pages of 52gsm Tomoe River paper.
The cover is 350gsm cardstock with a subtle branding impression on the front cover. The cover is a cement grey, very utilitarian. The binding is stitched, and has held up really well for me. Tomoe River paper is my favorite for fountain pens, and I use it in every ink review I do, so I go through a lot of it.
The inside cover has a place for you to include your details in case you lose the notebook.
The paper is dot grid with page numbers-I love it when notebooks have page numbers. For each notebook sold, they will donate a pencil to a child in need.
Overall, I was really impressed with how quick and efficiently they handled their first kickstarter, so I’m confident they will do a great job on this campaign as well. If you like Tomoe River paper, give this kickstarter a look!
