Today’s ink is Colorverse #20 Black Hole from Colorverse Season 2 Astrophysics. This ink comes in a boxed set with a 65ml and 15ml bottles of the same ink. Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review.
Black Hole is a black with a purple undertone.
In large swabs there is some black sheen. The large swabs took a long time to dry, you can see below that even after three days the ink drops are still wet.
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 50 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Show through: Medium
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was just a little bit of feathering, and some bleeding in the flex nib.
Overall, it’s very sheeny, but I had a few issues with nib creep and smearing. It also had a long dry time at 50 seconds.
