Nebula Note Notebook

I love Tomoe River paper-really, it’s my absolute favorite paper for fountain pens. Recently a pen friend offered me a Nebula Note by Colorverse so I of course said “yes please!” I never turn down free notebooks. You can find this notebook for sale at Goulet Pens.

Size:

The notebook measures 5.83 in x 8.27 in, a pretty standard A5 size. I don’t love the branding on the front cover-I prefer it on the back where it’s a bit more discreet.

There are 200 pages (100 sheets) of blank white 52gsm paper, but this notebook is also available in a cream version. This notebook only comes in blank ruling, but it does make up for that a bit with the included guide sheets. The binding lays completely flat, but due to the glue binding it’s not the sturdiest. It would be easy to tear out a page, so I am a bit more careful with this notebook than I am with my others.

The paper handles everything so well, nothing feathers or bleeds.

The only downside to this paper is the show-through. You can see everything from the opposite side of the page, which is why I prefer the 68gsm version of Tomoe River paper.

Overall, it’s ok but it’s not great. It’s not available in other rulings, the binding is not very sturdy, and there’s branding on the front cover. I’m using this notebook to keep track of the non-fountain pens in my desk drawers, and it’s great for that, but it’s not a notebook I would buy a second time.
